make sure you have a solid juicer, you get what you pay for. I find masticating juicers to be superior in many ways to the centrifugal ones. Read up and do research to make sure a juicer can do what you need (ie make sure it can handle greens)
i have an awesome juicer/processer combo thing!
do you have tips for like, how many to have per day, what to make sure to have per day.. etc
sorry, you seem so clued up and i’m a noob.
One of the benefits of a juice fast is that it allows you to get back in touch with your body’s needs. A good rule to follow is “when you’re hungry, drink juice”. You should just be sipping on juice throughout the day as opposed to drinking 3 large glasses during traditional meal times, once i got that figured out it was much easier to do. In the morning i will generally make 64 oz of juice (about 2 nalgene bottles full, if that helps for reference) and i will try to have consumed the first one by noon or 1 and the second one by 5 or 6, though as the fast has gone on i’ve been consuming less and less and right now it is 6:35 and i still have 16 oz left. Also make sure to drink as much water as you normally would (or should) during the day, the juice is liquid but it doesn’t replace all of your hydration needs.
As far as recipes go, I usually just make a big batch of everything i need, so that would be one one pound bag of spinach (or kale, but i prefer spinach), beets, carrots, parsnips, sweet potato, cucumber and apples. Sometimes i will add pineapple or watermelon. The apples are there to sweeten the whole thing and make all the other veggies palatable. It actually tastes great and can be very filling.
Weighed in this morning, lost another 4.6 lbs! making for a total of 13.5 lbs lost since the start of the 100% juice fast and a grand total of 26.7 lbs lost since we cut out all processed food, sugar, flour and oil a month ago. Right now i feel great and definitely am going to go for a full 30 days. some shorts and shirts that i haven’t worn in a while now fit me perfectly and i am on the last hole in my belt right now (down 3 or 4 holes). I think i probably lost more fat weight than the 4.6 lbs this week since i’ve been working out regularly and can definitely feel more definition in certain muscles.

this morning mark’s one week since i started the juice fast, consuming only fresh raw juices, water and a bit of tea. I lost 9 lbs in the first week, i feel good about that because i have been dieting for 3 weeks or so now so i know a bunch of that weight loss wasn’t the beginning-of-diet weight loss. My foot, which has a bunch of microtears in it from the benefit show and hasn’t shown a hell of a lot of improvement over the last few months, is feeling significantly better, i can’t walk in the morning without stretching it. I also have reduced lower back pain! I didn’t think i had significantly more energy than before (like promised by many) until yesterday when i went longer at the gym and then felt like i had enough energy left to go for a bike ride, then stayed up fairly late without getting tired. My overall weight loss at this point is 22.1 lbs.
